Hill House Nursing Home is a private, family run home serving the Croydon area, and which has built an excellent reputation for the highest standards of nursing care. Established in 1954 by Mr and Mrs Carey, Hill House continues to be run by their daughters, both trained nurses. It is situated in leafy Kenley, which is the home of the historic Kenley Aerodrome.

We are proud to have achieved a 50 year milestone of caring and our celebrations in 2004 were attended by the Mayor of Croydon in recognition of our achievment.

We provide 24-hour nursing care by a team of highly trained qualified staff, familiar with the changing needs of the elderly. Provision can be for long term, respite, rehabilitation, terminal and palliative care (working in conjunction with St. Christopher's Hospice), post operative and/or convalescent care.

We believe in treating each resident as an individual, placing particular emphasis on balancing quality of life with personal freedom and dignity and by encouraging independence and happiness in their new home. The well being and contentment of our residents is of prime importance.

Residents enjoy our newly-refurbished conservatory at Hill House which, as a home was totally refurbished in 1990. A purpose build extension was added to the original home, making it one of the largest homes, presently in Croydon and is registered with the Local Authority under the Registered Homes Act 1984.

Hill House has facilities for 66 residents, providing accommodation in suites, single, double or sharing rooms with or without en-suite facilities. All our rooms are tastefully and comfortably furnished and decorated with a designer's flair.

Westside our sister home, is located in Purley and has been established since 1968. Westside can accommodate 31 residents in a homely and caring environment and provides nursing and palliative care to the physically frail older person.

Westside, like Hill House, has been owned and managed by the same family throughout and our philosophy is to place emphasis on 'Comfort with Care' thereby enriching and enhancing the quality of all our residents lives.
